In this role you will support the UK Supply team in all aspects of the financial management of the UK Supply business. Gross Margin Costs cover a wide range of Greenergy's supply operation, including tankage, shipping, demurrage and CSO.
Key Responsibilities
1. Management Review & Reporting - Prepare the management accounts, Balance Sheet and KPIs in compliance with internal control guidelines. Provide meaningful commentary & analysis to meet the Group timetable and the needs of the UK Supply management team.
2. Business Planning & Financial Analysis - Assist with the preparation of budgets & forecasts, ensuring assumptions are aligned with your knowledge of the business areas and are representative of the latest directions of the key stakeholders and Leadership Team.
3. Division Focus & Business Partnership - Become a valued partner to the UK Supply team, offering insightful financial analysis and commercial challenge. Lead discussions with key stakeholders where required.
4. Continuous Improvement - Be responsible for identifying areas for improvement across the Finance function which impacts data fed into, or created by, the team, as well as coordinating the multi-team effort to resolve identified issues and processes.
5. Relationship Management - Build strong relationships within the Finance function, Middle Office Risk team, operational teams and relevant Leadership Team. Demonstrate leadership in dealing with transactional and non-transactional teams contributing to overall reported results.
6. Data Analytics - Assist with projects within team and across the finance function to create efficiencies and productivity improvements.
7. Ad hoc queries - Assisting with ad-hoc finance queries from operational teams.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Required competencies:
1. Finance related degree (2.1 or above) and are at least mid-way through a professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA).
2. Accustomed to undertaking month-end procedures and associated reporting, as well as producing business forecasts and budgets.
3. Advanced Excel skills.
4. Possesses and demonstrates real analytical skill and can apply a logical approach to new challenges.
5. Be a strong communicator and possess an ability to develop trusting and credible relationships at all levels of the business, to Executive level, and to respect different opinions and ideas.
6. Have a questioning and inquisitive mind - not afraid to ask questions or challenge convention, nor to drive improvements and efficiencies as appropriate.
7. Takes personal responsibility and accountability for their work - you will own everything reported.
8. Able to analyse and interpret significant quantities of financial data and relate back to business issues.
9. Ambitious, enthusiastic and looking to progress within a reputable and fast-moving organisation.
