Milk are currently in partnership with a school based in the heart of Harrow who are looking for a kind and compassionate teacher. The successful candidate will have the expertise and determination to lead the second classroom in new their additionally resourced SEND provision.
The ARMS unit will eventually serve 12 children with moderate learning difficulties their purpose designed unit within the school.
The successful candidate will be pivotal in contributing to the design of the new provision including curriculum design, resourcing and assessment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver high-quality, individualised lessons and programs for students with autism and complex learning needs.
Work closely with teaching assistants and other staff to support the students' emotional, social, and academic development.
Regularly assess and monitor students’ progress, adapting lessons and strategies to meet individual needs.
Create a nurturing and inclusive environment where all students feel safe, valued, and supported.
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Experience working with children with SEND
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
Patience, flexibility, and a calm, supportive approach to teaching.
