Our established Derby based client specialises in the supply of precision CNC controlled special purpose machinery for customers throughout the UK and as a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic mechanically biased, multi skilled Machine Tool Field Service Engineer to complement their professional team.
As a blue chip aerospace approved supplier with a dedicated demonstration and training facility, they additionally supply a range of filtration and cooling systems and are looking to recruit a multi skilled machine tool field service professional with demonstrable skills and experience gained in mechanics, hydraulics and electronic systems as well as machine control software to undertake both planned preventative and reactive breakdown repair and service on a range of equipment at customer sites throughout the UK.
In additional to maintaining and servicing highest precision 5 axis tool and cutter grinding machines, the successful machine tool field service engineer candidate will also be skilled in the identification of potential opportunities for the business, referring the identification of service contract opportunities or new machine sales solutions to the sales team and benefitting from an attractive commission scheme on all new revenue generated.
After an initial training period in Switzerland, the successful candidate will assist in the sale and demonstration of precision machining solutions including tool and cutter grinding machines as well as undertaking CNC programming activities, with experience of working on MU, Schneeberger, E:Tech, Dama, Wimmer, Dedtru and Schilling equipment proving distinctly advantageous.
To be considered for this varied and challenging machine tool field service engineer role it is envisaged that the successful candidate will demonstrate at least 5 years experience gained within a precision machine tool service and support environment and will hold a full clean UK driving licence. You will be qualified in a relevant engineering discipline and possess excellent communication and organisational skills essential in a customer facing service role, with demonstrable basic electrical fault diagnosis and repair skills proving distinctly advantageous.
