We are looking for a Lead Building Engineer to assist the Chief Engineer in directing the mobile engineers with the operations and maintenance of all assigned buildings; provides direct support to field operations, performance metric tracking and reporting, and implements strategic material acquisition strategies.
Responsibilities:
* Supports preparation of monthly/quarterly operations and mechanical reports, and prepares technical evaluations/deficiencies reports on existing mechanical systems and components
* Maintains staffing schedules and employment records for responsible areas in connection with planning, scheduling and execution of engineering/maintenance work
* Plans schedule of work in accordance with established priorities
* Furnishes the engineers with basic data required in effecting overall and long-range planning
* Responds effectively to all emergencies
* Maintains and operate HVAC equipment and all associated equipment
* Coordinates purchasing and inventory control procedures
* Attends periodic management/executive training seminars
* Assists in Preventive Maintenance Program and all HVAC Building Automation Systems
* Assists in the organization of the engineering department
* Maintains liaison with Engineering Manager regarding work orders, job completion dates and priorities and estimates
* Furnishes the Engineering Manager with information relative to criticality of buildings
* Makes recommendations for systems improvement through immediate supervisor or management
* Makes recommendations concerning Capital Projects
* Handles other duties as assigned
Desired Competency, Experience and Skills:
* Valid Applicable State Drivers License
* High School diploma or GED equivalent
* Minimum of five (5) years training and experience in electrical, HVAC and refrigeration system operation, design application and maintenance
* Minimum of five (5) years experience in technical operations supervision
* Must possess an excellent working knowledge of computer based applications, to include Excel and Word
This position is 100% in-office. The role requires working in office during standard business hours. Remote work or telecommuting is not an option for this position.
