We are looking for a Housekeeper to be based in one of our Community Resource Centre (CRC) at Combe Lea Resource Centre in Midsomer Norton on a part-time basis. This is a permanent contract to support our housekeeping team, working 26.25 hours per week on a four-week rolling rota.
About The Team
Bath and Northeast Somerset have three care homes which are Community Resource Centres located in Keynsham, Bath, and Midsomer Norton. Each Community Resource Centre includes a residential care home for between 30 and 45 people, providing important services to older people in our community. We provide care and health services in a comfortable, safe environment for older vulnerable adults with a variety of disabilities, including dementia.
As a Housekeeper, you will:
* Carry out domestic tasks which maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness throughout the care home, considering the wishes of service users.
* Be a good team player and have great communication skills.
* Develop appropriate and professional relationships with our residents and carers, valuing them as individuals, including establishing and maintaining effective communication.
* Undertake a laundry service for residents and a general laundry service for the care home, which will include sorting and washing laundry, ironing, operating laundry equipment, e.g., washers and dryers, irons, and cleaning soft furnishings within the home.
* Keep up-to-date written records.
