ISS provides facilities management; cleaning & hygiene services; maintenance and building services; vending; security; landscaping and a wide range of other tailor-made services for customers throughout the Public and Private Sectors. Job Description As the Workplace Services Manager, you will hold ultimate responsibility for ensuring exceptional service delivery across all aspects of the client site. This includes overseeing Cleaning, Catering, Security (including Manned Guarding), Helpdesk operations, Engineering, and the overall customer experience. Your role will involve understanding the broader strategy for the Account and actively supporting the Account Director in planning and executing initiatives that drive growth and profitability. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining high standards across all services, ensuring they align with the client's needs and expectations. You will work closely with various teams to deliver a seamless and consistent experience for everyone on-site, from employees to visitors. Your ability to integrate and manage diverse service areas will be key to fostering a positive and productive workplace environment. In this role, you will not only ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly but also contribute to the long-term success of the account by identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation. Your strategic input will help shape the future of the services we provide, ensuring they continue to meet the evolving demands of the client and the market. This is a critical position that requires a blend of operational excellence, strategic insight, and a deep commitment to customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Ensure the safety and wellbeing of ISS colleagues within their sites Own delivery of Facility Services on the sites within their remit, ensuring consistent and high-level service delivery across the sites Manage and develop the on-site ISS teams for their sites, with direct line responsibility for on-site ISS leads and SMEs (e.g. Engineers) Contribute to reporting on progress and developments Ensure all aspects of Statutory Compliance are maintained as required at all times Collaborate with and support Regional Workplace Services Manager counterparts to ensure a consistent level of service delivery across the corporate estate. Contribute to UK wide initiatives, innovation and ‘side of desk’ responsibilities Support emergency response arrangements, incl. participating in an on-call rota, ensuring BCP arrangements are appropriate and teams are aware Own engagement with building user stakeholders within their region Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications Graduate calibre and/or appropriate time served track record in facility services or relatable industries Professional qualifications Experience within the FM Management arena including managing hard services and security Strong customer and client focus – customer facing Facilities Management environment. Supplier management – in a similar type of environment. Managing performance and identifying improvements through the use of management data.
