P Job title: Head of Maintenance Services /p p Ref: 40448 /p p Division: Asset Operations & Capital Delivery /p p Location: Hybrid - Clearwater Court - RG1 8DB /p p Contract type: Permanent /p p Full/Part-time: Full-time /p p Hours: 36 hours a week, Monday to Friday /p p Salary: Competitive salary up to £95,000 per annum /p p Job grade: C /p p Closing date: 03/04/2025 /p p We are looking for a senior operations leader to play a critical role in Thames Water's management team. /p p This is an exciting high-profile role in which you will be defining maintenance delivery strategies and then overseeing and steering their delivery whilst providing professional, cross-functional maintenance delivery capabilities to the Wastewater and Bioresources directorate. /p h3 What you'll be doing as a Head of Maintenance Services /h3 ul li As part of our commitment to continuous improvement and excellence across the asset lifecycle, you will be responsible for continuously reviewing our approach to maintenance delivery. /li li Work closely and collaboratively with colleagues across our Asset, Operations and Capital delivery teams you will be responsible for maintaining high levels of asset availability across a range of critical asset groups. /li li Provide strategic oversight of specialist programmes of work designed to increase resilience and improve critical performance outcomes for operational challenges such as pollution, blockages, and flooding. /li li Identifying opportunities to optimise strategic make vs buy' decisions and implementing change. /li li Act as a cross-functional SME, develop and manage a range of commercial contracts and frameworks relevant to the delivery of key maintenance outcomes across Wastewater and Bioresources. /li li Taking significant responsibility for external relationships with regulators, stakeholders, and customers. /li li Financial accountability and support of the development of capital and operational budgets, while focussing on sustainable efficiency plans. /li li Oversee the implementation, continuous delivery and improvement of Thames Water's Health & Safety policies. /li /ul p Base location - this is a hybrid role with a flexible base location across the Thames Water region. /p p Travel and on-site collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers will be a requirement. /p h3 What you should bring to the role /h3 ul li Ideally, you will have a technical engineering background and demonstrable experience in a similar role within a utilities or large infrastructure asset maintenance sector. /li li You will have a passion for health and safety with a strong track record in fostering a strong culture of health and safety excellence.
