JOB- Operations Manager
LOCATION- Faversham
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £50,000 to £60,000 per annum (plus benefits)
Premier Engineering is seeking an Operations Manager to join a leading manufacturing company based in Faversham. This role involves overseeing day-to-day operations, driving efficiency, and ensuring smooth production processes while maintaining high-quality standards.
The Operations Manager will ideally have the following attributes:
* Proven experience in an Operations Manager or similar leadership role within manufacturing or engineering
* Strong understanding of production planning, supply chain, and process improvement
* Experience in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement (CI), and Six Sigma principles
* Ability to manage teams, develop staff, and improve overall productivity
* Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations and compliance standards
* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to implement strategic improvements
* Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
* Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite
The Operations Manager role will involve:
* Managing daily production and operations to ensure targets are met
* Leading continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste
* Overseeing health & safety, quality control, and compliance within operations
* Developing and mentoring teams to enhance performance and career growth
* Working closely with senior management, engineering, and supply chain teams
* Implementing cost-saving initiatives and ensuring on-time delivery of products
* Identifying bottlenecks and inefficiencies to improve overall workflow
* Ensuring customer satisfaction by meeting delivery and quality expectations
