The customer centric organisation is business is looking for an exceptional numerical graduate that demonstrates excellent aptitude for data interpretation, logical reasoning and problem-solving.
Suitable candidates will have recently graduated in Mathematics, Statistics, Operational Research or Economics (or equivalent). Any commercial experience through a placement year or other relevant industry experience/ internship) will advantageous.
Responsibilities:
1. Utilise data analysis and data mining techniques to help the business understand customer trends, churn and profitability.
2. Specifying, implementing and maintaining databases in support of the statistical forecasting
3. Apply Mathematical Modelling and Statistical analysis to segment customer groups accordingly
4. Contribute to highly analytical scenario modelling to drive gross margin performance
5. Support the business analytically on monthly performance reporting
6. Communicate complex MI to a non-statistical audience, present conclusions from analysis to enhance decision making with stakeholders
Requirements:
7. STEM degree qualification (2;1 or above from a leading University: Maths, Statistics, Business Analytics, Economics)
8. Further MSc in related discipline advantageous (not essential)
9. Exceptional attention to detail with analytical mind-set
10. Good knowledge and understanding of general econometric or statistical modelling to support forecasting activities.
11. Team player, evidence of working in a fast-paced team environment whilst also demonstrating high levels of initiative
12. Sound knowledge of MS Excel, demonstrating the ability to manage, manipulate, interrogate and report on complex data
13. Further knowledge / experience of data analysis tools and technologies (i.e. VBA, SPSS, Table, Power BI) - beneficial
Hybrid working (2 days onsite per week - central Birmingham office)
£25,000 - £28,000 starting salary + benefits (PRP, pension, 25 days holiday, life assurance etc.)
