Finance Manager Annual Salary: £35,000-£45,000 per annnum depending on experience Location: Ipswich, with initial 3 months training in Kent 3 days a week (Hotel provided) Job Type: Full-time, Hybrid, Permanent We are seeking a Finance Manager, ideally suited for someone looking to step into their first managerial role within finance. This position offers a comprehensive role with a clear path towards future development, including transitioning to a Finance Director within the next 3-5 years. The role involves close collaboration with Managing Directors and international colleagues, providing a dynamic work environment. Day-to-day of the role: Conduct bank statement reconciliations and process cheques received. Manage credit control activities including chasing payments and resolving queries. Handle purchase ledger activities including invoice processing and dealing with queries. Oversee payroll processing, expense reports, and private mileage calculations. Prepare and submit VAT returns, manage fixed assets, and handle depreciation schedules. Engage in half-yearly IFRS reporting and liaise with external auditors for year-end audits. Review insurance contracts and participate in planning, budgeting, and target setting activities. Ensure compliance with transfer pricing regulations and other statutory requirements. Manage HR-related tasks including handling starters, leavers, and internal area changes. Required Skills & Qualifications: Minimum of three years' experience in corporate accounting covering a broad range of financial tasks. Strong IT skills with at least basic knowledge of Sage 200 and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with both internal teams and external partners. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently.
