About the role
The T&I Manager will play a leading role in delivering safe, efficient and cost-effective transportation and installation solutions for large-scale offshore wind and marine projects at our facility. You’ll be a specialist in your field and will plan, design and oversee the transportation and installation of large structures and equipment. You’ll support the business by reducing risks, optimising operations and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
What you'll do
Transportation and installation engineering
* Plan, design and oversee the transportation and installation of offshore fixed and floating wind components i.e. wind turbines, tower, blades, fixed and floating foundations.
* Develop detailed procedures and method statements, considering weather, ground and quays loading, vessel limitations and operational risks.
* Perform load-out, sea fastening and stability analysis for transportation operations.
* Project scenario planning to maximise the usage of the available space to accommodate as many projects as possible.
* Ensure that all engineering solutions comply with international maritime regulations, industry standards and HSE requirements.
Technical analysis and documentation
* Prepare and review engineering drawings, technical reports and installation manuals.
* Support vessels, cranes and lifting equipment, ensuring they meet site requirements.
* Participate in and present studies to prospective clients as required.
Project execution and support
* Collaborate with the inhouse Port, Marine & Commercial teams, heavy lift contractors and project managers to deliver safe and efficient operations.
* Provide on-site engineering support during all marshalling, storage and logistics operations.
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during project execution.
Risk management and compliance
* Perform risk assessments and develop contingency plans for port-based operations.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and company policies.
* Participate in safety audits, incident investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
