The Arts within the school are of high standard, with a specialism in oil-based painting and pencil drawings. It has a friendly department made up of 3 staff members including a supportive Head of Department.
The School:
Based in West Midlands, the school provides education from as young as 4 to 18.
The independent day school offers a combination of small class sizes and high-quality teaching staff.
Role A:
Start Date: TBC
Duration: Short Term
Timetable: 3 days a week (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday)
Key Stage: 3-5
Role B:
Start Date: Jan 2025
Duration: Ongoing (Maternity Cover)
Timetable: 4 days a week (Days TBC)
Key Stage: 3-5
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Art, Education, or a related field (PGCE or QTS preferred).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Experience in teaching up to KS5.
* Ability to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
* Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that facilitate active learning experiences.
* Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
* Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school.
* Apply appropriate disciplinary measures where necessary.
