Job summary Ward 35 - Burns, Plastics, OMFS, ENT, Ophthalmology An exciting opportunity for a Ward manager to join our team within Health, Neck, Orthopaedics and Reconstructive Services has arisen. This is a secondment opportunity for Maternity leave cover. Ward 35 is an integral provision within Head, Neck, Orthopaedic and Reconstructive and host several specialities on ward 35 including: Plastic Surgery, Oral and Maxillo Facial Surgery, Ear, Nose and Throat, The speciality is focused on high quality patient centred care. Ward 35 is a 26 bedded Ward and receives patients on elective and non elective pathways. Main duties of the job The team within this service work efficiently and effectively at a fast pace to support both elective and non-elective surgery, diagnosis, intervention and ultimately safe discharge. Ward 35 is a busy and rewarding environment to work in. You will work alongside and will be supported by the Matron, Senior General Manager, Ward sisters and a full complement of Registered Nurses, Nursing Associates, Health Care Assistants, Military nursing colleagues, and Ward administration support, to deliver excellence in patient care and experience. You will be supported to deliver key performance indicators, and to lead your team compassionately to achieve excellence. The role requires you to be flexible, resilient and forward thinking.
