We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Sessional Worker to join the 1625 Outreach Service.
1625 Outreach is no normal drug and alcohol service. It is an innovative and forward-thinking project, with a proven track record of effectively engaging young people and young adults.
Our ethos is centred around the principles of harm reduction, we provide non-judgmental, fact-based information and advice surrounding drug and alcohol use and the associated risks.
We aim to give young people and young adults the knowledge and skills to make more informed choices, to keep themselves and their peers aware, safe, and well when it comes to drugs/alcohol.
Where: Sheffield
Hours: Sessional (includes evening/weekend)
Pay: £16.89 Per Hour
About the role:
* Working with those aged 16 to 25, you will assist the service in effectively engaging young people & young adults, as well as professionals within community & night-time economy.
* Developing relationships and facilitating training and support with community partners, with a significant focus on professionals working within the night-time economy.
* Working closely with the service's dedicated education & outreach leads, as well as the digital/marketing lead, across the city. Additionally, our service volunteers & students on placement will support you.
* Addressing emerging needs is paramount when working with young people and young adults in this setting. You will need to expect the unexpected; don’t worry though, you will experience a lot of fun and enjoyment in this role.
About You:
* Great communicator, with the ability to engage a wide audience of different stakeholders.
* Knowledge & experience of working with young people and/or young adults.
* Experience of working within night-time economy settings - e.g., police, licensing, welfare, bars/clubs, with knowledge of drugs/alcohol and/or associated risks.
* Experience of delivering training and/or facilitating engagement events.
* Flexible team player, confident & energetic!
