Are you an experienced Litigation Senior Specialist looking for your next challenge? Pepper Advantage is one of the leading loan servicing companies in the UK, and we are currently recruiting for a Litigation Senior Specialist to join our established team in either Uxbridge, London or Skipton, North Yorkshire. We are looking for candidates with outstanding customer service skills and experience in liaising with solicitors, courts and bailiffs to ensure a satisfactory litigation process. As a Litigation Senior Specialist, your key responsibilities will be:- Assisting with monitoring the performance of external solicitors Attending review meetings with external solicitors and providing input Giving instructions to solicitors particularly on complex or contentious cases Drafting letters to solicitors or customers in relation to legal issues Reviewing and approving payments to third parties Referring cases to senior management with recommendations backed by rationales Making decisions on the progression of litigation in accordance with documented policies Managing a small portfolio of complex cases and progressing them appropriately Acting as a point of reference for the arrears and litigation and primary servicing teams Delegating for all Manager duties in their absence The ideal candidate for this Litigation Specialist role will be able to demonstrate: Extensive knowledge of the mortgage possession litigation process in Scotland, Northern Ireland and England and land law in England and Wales Sound knowledge of the operation of mortgages and the regulation of secured lending in the UK, including the Consumer Credit Act, MCOB, Consumer Duty and Mortgage Charter. Experience of instructing solicitors and monitoring performance A good understanding of regulatory requirements and the impact these have on the business The ability to effectively relate to customer needs, and ensures, wherever possible, that third party suppliers do likewise Knowledge of mortgage possession litigation in Scotland and Northern Ireland Excellent analytical and organisation skills Willingness to attend court if required Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Additional Information: This is a hybrid role with the expectation of up to three days per week office attendance, following a period of office based training.
