Housing Development Project Manager Salary - £50,788 - £54,971 (Grade 8) Hours - 37 hours Contract type - full time permanent Are you up for the challenge of working on a wide range of regeneration and new development projects? The Council is seeking an experienced housing development project manager to work within the Housing Development Team in delivering estate regeneration and new build housing programmes in the city. This exciting role will support the City’s Council priority of delivering ‘ Good Homes in well-connected neighbourhoods ’. The Council is landlord to nearly 22,000 Council homes and works closely with its housing managing agents to ensure tenants have safe and appropriate housing. We have ambitious plans for estate renewal programmes to secure the future of our existing stock. We also have a pipeline of new homes, both for rent and shared ownership. Estate regeneration and new affordable housing development is highly valued by the City and its residents. The successful applicant will contribute to delivering the Council’s ambitions to improve the City housing offer, providing more and better homes. We are keen to appoint experienced individuals, with a passion for housing and communities, and with the drive to take on the challenge ahead. You will have a demonstrable understanding of housing and a good track record of delivering new housing from site identification and appraisal, through project management to handover. As a strong project manager, you will be confident with managing budgets, resident consultation, working with Homes England and West Midlands Combined Authority and other funding authority procedures. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team of project managers in delivering new housing, working on all aspects of housing development and project management. These are busy and often challenging roles. We are looking for people with excellent organisational and communication skills, good negotiating and influencing skills, well organised, able to plan effectively to meet deadlines and successfully manage a complex workload.
