Due to this I am predominantly wheelchair dependent but can walk a few yards with a walking stick. I am looking to add another Personal Assistant to my small care team. You would be supporting me to access the Therapy Gym on Wednesday mornings and assist me with any personal care as needed while we are there. If the gym is closed, you would help me with completing my activities at home. Those could include but are not limited to preparing snacks, helping me to complete my physiotherapy exercises, accompanying me to my home workshop and supporting me with personal care (such as toileting and changing clothes for example.) You would also need to be able to cover of other team member absences as and when necessary. You will need to be a sociable person, and although I am not very communicative, I enjoy sharing ideas and reading. Due to the brain injury my cognitive abilities sometimes make it difficult for me to understand, so you will need to speak clearly and check that I can understand. Summary terms and conditions: · The rate of pay for this position is £14.00 per hour. · Hours and times of work: 2.5 hour per week, Wednesday mornings between 11:00 and 13:30 to access the gym. Also covering for other PA absences as and when needed. This would be advised ahead of time and would only be occasionally. · The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks. · This position requires the employee to complete the following free annual training: GDPR, Health and Safety, First Aid, Moving and Handling, Food Hygiene, Infection Control and Personal Care.
