Summary:
Amazon is a highly data-driven company passionate about its customers. In this context, it is vital to ensure the customers always get their orders on time and with quality. The processes at the FCs are largely manual, involving large numbers of associates. One of the most critical roles is that of a Team Leader who acts as a mentor/guide to the associates towards ensuring meeting customer expectations by following our standard work practices while keeping safety & quality in mind. In this role, you will be responsible for driving up the sortation & line haul infrastructure in the region, which includes identifying new routes.
Step Up Process Assistant Opportunity:
This is an opportunity to step up into a process assistant role for a period of time.
Key Job Responsibilities
Job Deliverables as Step Up Process Assistant:
1. Daily management of shift
2. Administrative management of associates
3. Job allocation to associates
4. Monitoring and mentoring of associates on productivity, quality, and safety
5. Analysis of the data reports to identify performance bottlenecks and improve performance
6. Monitor status of problem solve queues
7. Responsible for shift quality and associated action plans
8. Preparing and implementing training and development plans for associates
9. Conduct a 4M and 5S audit for the respective workstations daily
10. Implement formal process control and process improvement mechanisms such as Kaizen
11. Defining the transportation process from FC to FC/RSC
12. Ensure enough bandwidth in the sortation team to ensure peak time delivery management
13. Continuously improve throughput and attain a sustained level of delivery performance improvement
14. Stand-in for Area Manager
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1. High school or equivalent
2. Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
3. Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
4. Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
