GSL Education are searching for a compassionate and motivated Special Education Needs (SEN) Learning Support to join a vibrant client school in Eastleigh.
This SEN Learning Support position is an opportunity to make a real difference in students' lives, helping them to build confidence, overcome learning challenges, and thrive both academically and personally.
Responsibilities:
* Provide dedicated support to students with special educational needs, personalising your approach to meet each student’s unique requirements.
* Collaborate closely with SEN and classroom staff to implement and uphold effective, tailored learning strategies that address students' needs.
* Encourage student engagement during lessons, supporting focus, participation, and comprehension to enhance learning outcomes.
* Help create an inclusive classroom where every student feels safe, respected, and inspired to learn.
* Offer emotional and behavioural guidance, empowering students to build resilience and social skills within a supportive environment.
* Maintain accurate records of student progress, working alongside team members to review and refine learning outcomes collaboratively.
* Ensure students develop independence by equipping them with the necessary tools and confidence to reach their full potential.
Requirements:
* Experience in an SEN Learning Support role or similar position within a school environment is preferred.
* Genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs and fostering an inclusive, nurturing learning space.
* Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2 or 3, or NVQ, are desirable but not essential.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with both students and staff.
* Patient, empathetic, and adaptable, with a proactive mindset toward supporting diverse learning needs.
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or a willingness to obtain one if required.
