Our client is a dynamic and reputable law firm dedicated to providing exceptional legal services to our clients. With a commitment to excellence, our client is seeking an experienced permanent Business Operations Manager based in Leeds.
As a Business Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the firm’s success by managing day-to-day operations, overseeing the business support unit, managing a team of 25 people, improving processes, maximising productivity, supporting strategic initiative, financial processes, and administrative functions. You will work closely with partners, COO, project managers, coordinators and fee-earners.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the firm’s financial management, including budgeting, billing, and financial reporting.
* Implement and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
* Manage HR functions, including recruitment, staff development, and performance management.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
* Coordinate facilities and health and safety management to maintain a smooth working environment.
* Develop and implement strategic business plans to support firm growth.
* Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to optimise costs.
* Guide team members with varying experience levels.
* Track workflow and engage teams in decision-making.
The ideal candidate:
* Prior experience in business operations and people management within a law firm.
* Knowledge of legal industry regulations and compliance requirements.
* Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and cost control.
* Excellent leadership and managing multiple teams.
* A proactive and strategic mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
* Proficiency in IT systems, case management software, and Microsoft Office.
* Work well under pressure.
