Job Overview
My client is seeking a highly skilled Technical Manager to bolster the Technical Division of the company, covering an expanding retail and middle ground business with a wide range of products. This role offers growth, personal development and the ability to work on our own initiative.
Responsibilities
* Support in the management and development of the Quality Management Systems, procedures and policies
* Responsible for maintaining the site internal audit system including resolution of corrective actions
* Develop and maintain hygiene procedures
* HACCP Team leader
* Provide Technical expertise and support before, during and after all external audits.
* Assist in staff training
* Conduct Quality KPI and Quality Review meetings
* Identify opportunities for improvement
* Coordinating, interpreting and communicating laboratory results to the site management team
* Support the site in maintaining BRC accreditation
Qualifications
* Degree in Food Science / Manufacturing or equivalent preferred
* Experience working in a technical / quality role within a food related industry
* Intermediate Food Hygiene
* Knowledge of BRC standards and food safety
* Computer literate and advanced HACCP
* Fully conversant with BRC
Knowledge
* Experience in Quality System Auditing and Management
* Ability to develop and lead a diverse team
* Ability to work with the site team
* Manufacturing practice knowledge
* Ateention to detail & creative problem solving
* Flexibility on hours
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £50,000.00 per year
