Job Description
We have two new opportunities to be part of our Health & Safety team in the role of H&S Coordinator, working within our manufacturing and wind tunnel departments.
You will be responsible for:
* Ensuring that legal and statutory requirements within the remit of the post are met, completing regular H&S inspections and audits on site, reporting and recording findings, and supporting action completion.
* Supporting operations teams with risk assessment completion and safe systems of work completion.
* Coordinating internal investigations and leading on the collaboration for problem solving.
* Ensuring that all aspects of ISO standards are maintained in dedicated area of work.
* Working on continuous improvement projects to work toward strategic goals.
* Chairing, attending and actively participating in meetings as required.
* Maintaining and developing skill levels to industry standards and maintain current and thorough working knowledge of the latest health and safety legislation.
What you will need to be successful in this role:
* The candidate will possess, or be working towards, a NEBOSH General Certificate, or have relevant equivalent experience.
* Experience working in a manufacturing and/or wind tunnel environment would be beneficial.
* Strong administrative skills, particularly using Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
* Excellent time management, including the ability to prioritise workload and pay attention to detail.
* Organisational skills and the ability to generate all required reports.
* Strong team player and passionate about HSE.
* Ability to calmly and confidently work under pressure to achieve targets and deliver results within required timescales.
* Ability to communicate effectively, positively and respectfully with all colleagues.
* Flexible attitude and ability to work as part of a team in a demanding and rapidly changing environment.
* Be results oriented and be confident in your decision-making skills.
* Be enthusiastic and versatile and be able to build, develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues.
* Ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of and commitment to Health & Safety.
This is a full-time office-based role based at our campus in Silverstone, with additional requirement to travel to other locations where necessary.
