We are now seeking a passionate, detail-oriented Store Manager to lead our London store, ensuring it embodies the core values of our brand: authenticity, craftsmanship, and exceptional customer service.
Role Purpose:
As the Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily store operations, managing a team of sales associates, and creating a seamless, memorable shopping experience for every customer. You’ll take charge of store performance, inventory management, visual merchandising, and team development, ensuring that Clutch Cafe London remains an inspiring and engaging destination for our clientele.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership & Team Development:
* Lead, motivate, and manage a small team of sales associates. Provide continuous training on Japanese heritage, styling, and customer service. Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and supportive team culture. Inspire staff to meet sales targets while maintaining high standards of service, with a focus on educating customers about the story behind each piece of clothing, publication, and accessory.
* Customer Experience:
* Create an exceptional shopping environment by delivering personalized service that reflects our brand’s commitment to craftsmanship and cultural heritage. Provide expert advice on clothing, accessories, and publications. Guide customers through our carefully curated collection, sharing the narrative behind our Japanese heritage pieces and ensuring each customer leaves feeling valued and inspired.
* Sales & Performance Management:
* Oversee daily sales operations and performance metrics. Use customer feedback and sales data to drive store strategies, ensuring we meet and exceed sales targets. Analyze KPIs regularly and develop commercial initiatives that align with our brand's ethos, ensuring continued success and growth of the store.
* Visual Merchandising & Store Presentation:
* Maintain a visually appealing and well-organized store that reflects the unique blend of Japanese heritage and modern lifestyle. Curate in-store displays that showcase our clothing, accessories, and publications in a manner that tells the story of Japanese craftsmanship and design. Ensure the store atmosphere is welcoming and aligns with the brand's aesthetic of understated elegance and timeless style.
* Inventory & Stock Management:
* Manage stock levels, ordering, and product displays. Maintain efficient inventory systems to ensure the availability of key products while minimizing overstock. Work with the team to receive deliveries, organize the stockroom, and report any inventory discrepancies.
* Brand Representation & Community Engagement:
* Serve as the brand’s ambassador, ensuring the values of authenticity, quality, and craftsmanship are upheld in every customer interaction. Build relationships with local businesses, partners, and clients. Help elevate Clutch Cafe London as a cultural destination through events, collaborations, and community-building initiatives that align with our heritage-focused approach.
* Reporting & Administration:
* Provide regular sales and performance reports to senior management, including customer feedback, inventory updates, and sales forecasts. Manage store schedules, payroll, and other administrative duties.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Store Manager in a fashion retail environment, ideally in premium fashion brands.
* A deep passion for Japanese heritage clothing, craftsmanship, and culture, with an understanding of how these elements can be communicated to customers.
* Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to train, motivate, and inspire a team to deliver exceptional service and meet sales targets.
* Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating personalized and memorable shopping experiences.
* Solid commercial acumen, including experience with visual merchandising, stock control, and managing KPIs.
* Ability to manage the operational side of the store while maintaining a focus on the customer experience.
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize.
* A passion for lifestyle publications, accessories, and curating unique offerings that tell a story.
* Proficiency in retail software, POS systems, and Microsoft Office suite.
