RWE Renewables is enlarging its Technical Contracting team and is searching for a Technical Contract Manager to support Offshore logistic contracts in our Wind Offshore Unit. The role is responsible for preparing technical tender documentation, coordinating and leading negotiations for technical matters and clarifications with internal and external stakeholders. Further support will be needed to develop and maintain standard technical documentation for the main contracts e.g. turbine, foundation, substation etc., optimize and implement specific processes and work instructions.
Your Future Plans
* Preparation, evaluation, and negotiation of the technical part of logistic contracts including the annexes for wind offshore projects worldwide
* Act as the technical lead during the negotiations for the technical-contractual terms of the agreements
* Act as a link between different departments to ensure that their input is considered in the contracts
* Gather and implement information from other departments in order to prepare the updated annexes for new projects and markets e.g. APAC, USA
* Evaluate offers; identify and evaluate deviations and ensure that technical concessions made during negotiations are in line with company policies and standards
* Technical contract review, amendment, and termination management as well as capturing lessons learned and implementation
* Cooperate with other departments to ensure correct implementation and interpretation of existing contracts
* Manage, track, and improve existing technical contracts
* Interface between engineering, procurement, construction, and project members to clarify technical-contractual questions arising during tendering phases
* In-house counsel for all questions related to technical contracting along a project’s timeline
* Direct interface with the project teams during the preparation and execution phase
Your Profile
* Degree in the field of maritime engineering, mechanical engineering, renewable energies, or a related course of study in engineering
* Relevant professional experience and expert knowledge in the field of Project Management, Contract and Requirements Management, and relevant comprehensive experience in the design, construction, and operation of wind farm components
* Experience in the drafting, managing, and tracking of technical contracts
* Interest in working at the intersection of engineering, legal, and commercial topics
* Knowledge of how offshore wind works, on-site experience welcome
* General understanding of the mechanics of project management, asset financing, and project development
* Effective communication and negotiation skills
* Very good knowledge of written and spoken English, other languages welcome
* A careful and precise approach to work
* Team-oriented and open to work in an international diverse environment
