Our production facilities work with all major truck manufacturers, offering crane installation and assembly from the bare chassis up. Our Design team are central to this bespoke operation – they calculate and design our crane subframes, along with the associated crane fitments exactly to customer specifications. Day-to-day duties: This role would suit both an experienced engineer or a Junior Design Engineer looking to specialise. The role will involve: Providing stress calculations for new business to confirm suitability of crane and chassis selected. Designing and producing engineering drawings needed to manufacture components and structures. Obtaining quotes and ordering pumps for fitting to vehicles across all depots. Providing technical support to external customers, as well as colleagues across the sales and production departments. The ideal applicant: Product training is provided, however we require an ambitious candidate with the following: Prior experience of working in an engineering design environment. Must be able to use AutoCAD/SolidWorks. Knowledge of stress calculations. Be qualified to HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering.
