Senior Capability Specialist
Location: RG7 4PR, located between Reading and Basingstoke, with free onsite parking.
Package: £48,250 - £70,000 ( depending on your suitability, qualifications, and level of experience)
Working pattern: AWE operates a 9-day working fortnight.
Let us introduce the role
AWE is currently recruiting for a Senior Capability Specialist for the Enterprise Applications group.
We are looking to recruit an experienced senior capability specialist to deliver capability management and business governance activities, to ensure that future programme requirements are satisfied.
The position includes:
1. Making business decisions on new software/application requests for corporate networks
2. Support the identification, progress, and action plans to address capability gaps.
3. Work with service providers, suppliers and customers to maintain service catalogues/ service level agreements/ customer relationship metrics.
You will be responsible for defining and improving software implementation processes, rationalisation, roadmaps, and configuration control.
Who are we looking for?
We do need you to have the following:
1. Proven experience in effective process and stakeholder management.
2. Strong experience with ITSM tools
3. Proven experience working with service providers, suppliers and customers to maintain service catalogues.
4. Track record of licence and maintenance contract renewals.
5. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Whilst not to be considered a tick list, we’d like you to have experience in some of the following:
1. Previous experience of working in a highly regulated environment
2. The ability to manage multiple workstreams.
3. Decision maker with proven problem solving capability.
4. Leadership experience
You’ll need to have the ability to work calmly and constructively in a priority changing environment and be able to manage your own workload. You will also have initiative, enthusiasm, a flexible approach, and ability to work to tight deadlines.

Hybrid working is available for this role on an informal, non-contractual basis. Typically 3 days onsite per week.
