An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Senior Planning Manager to join a leading name in the construction industry on a major project based in Suffolk. They will be an integral part of the team who have been appointed to provide expertise in managing and delivering a key infrastructure project part of a multi-billion-pound programme. The Senior Planning Manager will be responsible for supporting project managers in the delivery of projects by providing high-level planning service for the preparation of project plans, producing baseline scheduled tasks, resource profiles and financial models. They will play a key role in managing the construction programme in Primavera P6, creating and maintaining accurate project schedules, identifying potential risks, and ensuring project milestones are met. Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring alignment with project goals and deadlines. Monitor project progress, identify schedule deviations, and propose corrective actions as needed. Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize schedule disruptions. Provide timely and accurate reports to project stakeholders, highlighting project status, challenges, and recommended solutions. Lead a team of planning professionals, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Participate in project meetings, contributing your expertise to drive informed decision-making. Candidate Hold a construction related qualification - Degree / HNC / HND Extensive experience in construction planning and scheduling, with a focus on major infrastructure projects. Proficiency in Primavera P6 and other relevant project management software. Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex project data. Earned Value Management experience Strong contract awareness and working knowledge of NEC contract Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
