An exciting new opportunity has come in for a Deputy Manager at a well-regarded residential home for older people in Hampshire. The home is small and embedded in the local community offering high quality residential care in a warm, welcoming and homely environment.
As the Deputy Manager, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring high standards of care, safety, and well-being for all residents. Often working autonomously and deputising for the General Manager, this is an ideal opportunity for someone who is confident in leading independently and making decisions that enhance the home's quality of care and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead, motivate, and manage the care and support teams at the home.
2. Oversee the smooth running of the home, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, including health & safety and safeguarding.
3. Independently manage daily operations, liaising with the General Manager as needed.
4. Develop and maintain strong relationships with residents, their families, and external stakeholders.
5. Support and mentor staff, encouraging professional growth and development.
6. Monitor and improve quality standards within the home, ensuring CQC requirements are met.
Requirements:
1. Relevant qualifications in social care (e.g., NVQ Level 3, Level 5 or equivalent).
2. Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a care home or healthcare setting.
3. Strong communication skills and the ability to manage teams independently.
4. Knowledge of CQC standards and other relevant legislation.
5. A compassionate and resident-focused approach to care.

1. Salary £31,000pa
