Whatyou'll do
As a Financial Risk& Analytics Developer, you’ll be developing and maintainingcompliant and fit-for-purpose analytics and models used in thebank’s credit and risk frameworks developed in Python, includingmodels that support automated decision making, capital calculation,provisioning and stress testing across all franchises. You’ll bedelivering analytics and performance MI relating to these modelsand for the development of new and enhanced approaches in supportof improved business and customeroutcomes.
You’ll alsobe:
* Helping with regulatory engagementin relation to risk models and modelframeworks
* Supporting the business bydeveloping and maintaining risk models and decision support models,with a focus on improved effectiveness andefficiency
* Producing clear and well presentedanalysis, and provide actionable MI on all aspects of modelperformance
* Identifying opportunities forimprovement, both in terms of the models and measures produced, andthe approaches and processes used within theteam
* Working effectively with other riskfunctions, the customer franchises and broader functions so thatthe model suite is integrated with other activities, ensuringeffective and efficientdelivery
Theskills you'll need
We’relooking for someone with extensive financial services experiencewith a broad experience of risk systems, methodologies andprocesses in a retail or wholesale bank environment, as well asexperience of working in a developer function or some relatedquantitative function.
You’llneed to hold a degree in a numerate discipline, with a track recordin data driven analysis in a AWS infrastructure with pythonprogramming.
You’ll alsodemonstrate:
* A background of projectmanagement, working as part of a team and sharing learnings fromothers
* The ability to translate complex andstatistical techniques into simple, easily understoodconcepts
* Experience of python development andpractical application of risk models, including scoring and modelmonitoring
* A background of successfully usingand deploying new data sources, approaches and tools with AmazonWeb Service
* An understanding of statisticaltechniques, credit reference data, external agency data, creditsystems, and databases toolsets
