Housekeeping Assistant Lancashire £11.44 per hour (Enhanced Pay at Weekends.) To work 5 days over 7 including weekends. 7am till 3pm Brainkind is a charity that aims to improve the lives of people with brain injuries in the UK. Purpose To assist with maintaining the highest possible standard of cleanliness throughout the Service including the laundry. Key Relationships • This role carries no line management responsibilities• Responsible for working alongside and/or supporting volunteers within their team Qualifications required • No formal qualifications required Experience, Skills and Ability • Able to work both as part of a team and on their own• Able to communicate verbally and in writing• Able to work within policies and procedures and Behavioural Framework• Understanding of COSHH and Health and Safety Regulations Complexity and Accountability • This post holds no budgetary responsibility but will be expected to ensure costs and expenditures are kept within agreed limits• Accountable to understand personal responsibilities in relation to the Health & Safety at Work legislation and demonstrate a working knowledge of COSHH requirements Key Responsibilities • Responsible to clean all areas of the Service as per daily cleaning schedules, manage laundry, following guidance from the Housekeeping Supervisor• To carry out all duties with due regard for the Health and Safety of service users, staff, volunteers and visitors• Responsible to ensure safe storage and use of chemicals and equipment with COSHH and Health and Safety requirements• To work with a number of different equipment. To report the need for repair or maintenance of equipment and for materials to be replenished• To record all information required• To work to national and local cleaning standards• Facilitating the safe and smooth running of the Service, the post holder is expected to maintain a safe working environment, maintain service user confidentiality, and occasionally taking on reasonable additional tasks Benefits include:
