Plumbing and General Maintenance Role – Permanent Position
We are currently seeking a skilled Plumber for a permanent position within a large office building environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the maintenance and upkeep of a key government facility.
Role Overview:
* Working Hours: 40 hours per week with variable start times of 07:00 – 15:30 or 09:30 – 18:00.
* On-call Rota: 1 in 3 on-call shifts, with an on-call allowance of £147.90.
* Salary: £33,000 per annum (including on-call allowance) with a salary uplift to approximately £35,000 (based on PAYE Direct rate of £15.87 per hour or £19.87 per hour Umbrella).
Key Responsibilities:
* Undertake various Plumbing tasks and carry out general maintenance across the building.
* Ensure all plumbing systems are fully operational and up to required standards.
* Provide essential support for maintenance work in line with health and safety and company protocols.
Key Skills & Requirements:
* Plumbing qualifications: Minimum requirement of a City & Guilds qualification or equivalent.
* Previous experience in a large office building environment is preferred.
* DBS and CTC checks will be required upon recruitment (ONS requirement).
* UK residency of 3 years or more is necessary (ONS requirement).
* A Drug & Alcohol test will be undertaken during the first month of placement for critical roles.
* Basic DBS check required at recruitment, with further CTC checks to be completed during employment by the ONS.
Additional Information:
* Knowledge of VINCI FM and an understanding of the ONS role will be beneficial.
