Our client is a leading professional information publisher who publish intelligence products across print magazine, research databases, events and online data products. They are seeking a Projects Editor to join the team, looking to take a real-time data tracking and project information portal to the next level - this information is highly data driven and is used to inform businesses across the construction, engineering, finance, environment and tech industries.

1. Salary: circa £45,000 depending on experience
2. Location: Oxford (hybrid working 3 days a week in the office) - would be open to consider more flexibility in working patterns depending on location and relevant experience

The Projects Editor will be responsible for taking the lead on securing information to update these online portals, this will involve calling up companies, as well as undertaking internet research as well as ensuring the service has the latest data analysis and aggregation techniques. You'll work closely with clients as well as getting into the nitty gritty of the data, working closely with data analysis and web development to secure product enhancements and strategically develop the product. The successful candidate will be responsible for curating and maintaining the market-leading database of projects and be commercial in their approach to developing this.
The ideal candidate will have:
6. proven experience in working with data - this could be in a research or data management role
7. the ability to actively hunt down information, often by winning trust over the phone
8. the confidence to inspire and manage a team of contributors
9. exceptional communication skills, and an excellent spoken and written command of the English language
10. an eagle eye attention to detail
11. proven experience in data journalism; research; or data management
12. any experience of working with SQL and/or Python to compile and categorise datasets would be helpful but not essential
