Location: All-Age Special Needs School, Bromsgrove (B60)
Salary: Starting from £83.40 per day (PAYE), depending on experience and qualifications
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
A vibrant and inclusive special needs school, providing education for pupils of all ages (4-19 years old) with a variety of complex needs, is currently seeking an enthusiastic Specialist Teaching Assistant. This is a full-time, long-term role with the possibility to become permanent for the right candidate. No school experience is required, but applicants must have experience working with individuals with complex needs.
Job Specification:
1. Provide 1:1 or small-group support to children with complex needs, helping them engage in lessons and develop key skills
2. Assist with social and emotional development, encouraging a safe and positive learning environment
3. Support children with communication, sensory, and physical needs, adapting activities and resources as necessary
4. Encourage independence and confidence
5. Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members to deliver personalised support

1. Experience working with individuals with complex needs (no school experience necessary)
2. A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children
3. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, pupils, and families
