Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Housing Officer for a local authority client based in Southwest London.
In this role, you will manage a portfolio of properties, provide frontline housing support, assist vulnerable residents, and ensure compliance with housing policies while delivering great customer service.
Key Duties:
* Oversee a portfolio of properties, conduct inspections, manage tenancy agreements, and ensure maintenance issues are addressed.
* Provide frontline housing support, assist vulnerable residents, and handle tenancy-related queries professionally.
* Ensure adherence to housing policies, investigate complaints and tenancy breaches, and work with external agencies.
* Maintain accurate case records, attend meetings, and liaise with internal teams and partners to deliver effective housing services.
Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
* Experience working in a local authority or social housing setting with strong policy understanding.
* Handling tenancy agreements, managing caseloads, and resolving housing issues, including ASB cases.
* Assisting tenants, including vulnerable residents, with advice and frontline support.
* Collaborating with external partners and ensuring adherence to housing legislation and policies.
What's on offer:
Salary: £25+ph
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6, months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
