As part of the development of the Penmorfa Centre for Independent Living, an opportunity has arisen for a Senior Service Support Officer to be recruited into the Corporate Service Support structure on a fixed term basis until 31/03/2026.
About the Role:
The Senior Service Support Officer will work as part of the Penmorfa Centre for Independent Living, which promotes independence and community support and aims to transform the way individuals find solutions and access information to help themselves. The Centre is nestled in the heart of Ceredigion on the ground floor of the County Council’s offices at Penmorfa, Aberaeron. The team focus on empowering individuals to live independently at home for longer.
This role will focus on providing excellent customer service to members of the public and professionals who visit the centre. As well as providing a meet and greet service to visitors, you will be on hand to answer queries and provide support where possible. You will be expected to undertake various administration duties, including dealing with telephone calls, inputting and extracting information from IT systems, handling incoming and outgoing correspondence, minute taking of complex meetings, as well as many other activities associated to a busy office environment.
About the Candidate:
The candidate will require a NVQ4 in Business Administration qualification or have proven equivalent experience. The candidate will need to have good numeric and analytical skills to be able to assist with the collation of data for reporting purposes as well as the ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
The candidate will need to be friendly, helpful and understand the importance of providing good customer service to internal and external stakeholders. The opportunity would suit someone with a methodical approach to work, with attention to detail, be a Welsh language speaker and they must have excellent IT skills. The requirement of this role means that the officer will need to be based at Penmorfa for the full working week.
