About Them\nOur client is one of the world’s leading interior fit out specialists, delivering major projects across the UK, including high profile schemes in sectors such as commercial, aviation, and sports venues. As they continue to expand, they are looking for an experienced Senior Designer / Designer to join their team and contribute to key projects.\nRole Overview\nAs a Senior Designer / Designer, you will support the preparation of detailed cost estimates for construction projects, playing a key role in securing and delivering some of the UK’s most prestigious interior fit out projects.\nKey Responsibilities\n• Create technical drawings for interior fit out products (ceilings, floors, partitions, etc.), ensuring modern construction techniques and materials are utilised.\n• Attend design meetings, liaise with clients to establish design briefs, and coordinate with cross-functional teams.\n• Provide valueadded input to ensure buildability, construction efficiency, and cost plan adherence, identifying and documenting design-related risks and mitigation strategies.\n• Prepare and deliver high-quality design outputs, including drawings, technical submissions, schedules, and specifications.\n• Assist in material selection by preparing specifications and conducting basic evaluations.\n• Monitor and report on design output and activities, taking corrective actions to ensure timely and cost efficient delivery.\n• Support the tender process with design budgets, programmes, technical reviews, and drawings.\n• Collaborate with the technical quality team to ensure design excellence and assist with subcontractor selection.\nPerson Specification\n• Experience creating CAD drawings for the interior fit out/architectural sector (partitions, floors, ceilings, etc.).\n• Strong technical knowledge of products such as ceilings, architectural and structural glazing, glazed and metal claddings, balustrades, SFS and curtain walls, dry lining, RAF systems, and FR/NFR doors.\n• Proficiency in 3D, 2D, AutoCAD, Inventor, and Revit.\n• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.\n• Independent thinker with a proactive approach to contributing to team success.\n• Proficient with Microsoft Office packages.\n• Eager to learn and develop within the role.\nWhy Join Them?\n• Pension: 5% employer pension contribution with free pension advice.\n• Bonus: Access to the apprenticeship PACT quarterly bonus scheme.\n• Healthcare: Coverage under AXA PPP.\n• EV Salary Sacrifice: Leading electric vehicle leasing scheme\n• Family-Friendly Policies: Enhanced maternity & paternity pay benefits.\n• Holiday: 25 days paid holiday plus bank holidays.\n• Occupational Health: Independent occupational health provider support for health advice.\n• Employee Assistance Programme: 24/7 support for employees and their families, plus shopping discounts and free virtual GP access.\n• Wellbeing Initiatives: Cycle-to-work scheme, free eyesight checks, paid volunteering days, and more.\nIf you are looking to develop a career as a Designer in a dynamic leader in the construction sector, we’d love to hear from you.
