About The Role
Wilson James are seeking a skilled and dedicated HR Manager with a focus on Employee Relations to join their Aviation sector team at Heathrow Airport. In this role you will deliver high-quality, consistent HR advice and support to both employees and managers, focusing on employee relations as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert. Reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner, you'll provide proactive, professional, and data-driven HR guidance to operational managers and employee community of approximately 2,000 people. Leading the Employee Relations function and managing a small team across several sites, you'll play a key role in helping Wilson James achieve its ambitious objectives in the fast-paced aviation and transport sector. Developing and sustaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including operational directors, senior management, HR colleagues, line managers, and employees, will be essential to your success in this impactful role.
About You
Wilson James are looking for:
* Comprehensive knowledge of UK employment legislation and case law
* Employee Relations specific experience at a similar level within a proven background of managing complex employee relations matters and formal consultations
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders regardless of seniority
* Experience of managing a small team
* Exceptional written skills with a particular emphasis on attention to detail
* Outstanding organisation skills with the ability to prioritise conflicting deadlines
* Excellent data requirement definition and interpretation skills
* Team leadership and team player skills, with experience of coaching and supporting others
The following skills and attributes are desirable:
* CIPD qualified
* Experience of TUPE legislation and management of the end-to-end process
* Previous experience of working alongside trade unions in a unionised environment
* Familiarity of aviation industry
* Understanding of impact and complexities of shift working
