Requirements
* Solicitor qualification with training in the UK and Wales.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of commercial law experience, with a strong focus on buyer-seller agreements and contract negotiation.
* Familiarity with South African commercial law is highly desirable, or a willingness to gain proficiency in local legal frameworks.
* Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal information clearly and effectively.
* Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Willingness to relocate to South Africa and integrate into the local legal and business community.
* High level of professionalism and a commitment to ethical legal practice.
Responsibilities
* Provide legal advice and representation in matters related to buyer-seller agreements and other commercial transactions.
* Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements, ensuring they comply with local and international legal standards.
* Assist clients with mergers, acquisitions, and other complex commercial transactions.
* Conduct thorough legal research to provide accurate and up-to-date advice to clients.
* Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop tailored legal strategies for unique business challenges.
* Work closely with clients relocating to or investing in South Africa, providing legal counsel on local regulatory requirements and compliance.
* Support the firm’s commitment to excellence by contributing to the development of the Commercial Law practice.
