Job Duties:
* Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences to students in accordance with the curriculum, utilising effective instructional techniques and strategies.
* Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
* Develop lesson plans and educational activities that promote student engagement, critical thinking, and independent learning.
* Assess and evaluate student progress through various methods, such as assignments, exams, and class participation.
* Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment, ensuring the wellbeing and safeguarding of all students.
* Collaborate with colleagues and parents/guardians to support the education and welfare of students.
* Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities as required.
* Supervise students during break times and assist with extracurricular activities, as needed.
* Follow school policies and procedures, including those related to behaviour management and discipline.
Required Qualifications:
* A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
* Experience teaching within a primary school setting, specifically in KS1 and KS2.
* Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks.
* Ability to effectively manage classroom dynamics and behaviour.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Good organisational and time management abilities.
Education:
* A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant subject.
Experience:
* At least 2 years of experience as a primary school teacher.
* Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN).
Knowledge and Skills:
* Comprehensive understanding of primary education principles and pedagogy.
* Familiarity with PPA (Planning, Preparation, and Assessment) requirements.
* Proficiency in using various teaching resources and technology to enhance learning.
* Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the individual needs of students.
* Knowledge of early years education and reception curriculum.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Additional certifications or training related to special educational needs (SEN).
* Experience in leading extracurricular activities or school-wide initiatives.
Working Conditions:
* Work in a primary school environment, primarily within classrooms.
* Full-time contract, with regular working hours during school term times.
