About the Company:
My client, a forward-thinking organisation in the pump rental industry, is committed to driving digital transformation and operational excellence. With a workforce of around 600 talented individuals, they're on a mission to enhance customer engagement and streamline processes through innovative technology solutions.
Role Overview:
As the Lead Business Architect, you will be the cornerstone of the architectural team, leading the charge in ERP/CRM initiatives while overseeing a diverse range of projects hosted/developed on-prem/in the cloud (Microsoft Azure). My client is not looking for a technical architect, but rather someone focused on business processes who can define an "as is" and "to be" solution for the business, driving the business blueprint and business change.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the design and implementation of ERP (finance, manufacturing, distribution, and quote to cash) and CRM solutions (ideally Salesforce for sales, service, and field service excellence; data warehousing and analytics along with IoT telematics solutions to support our customers).
2. Guide RFI/RFP discussions to select the best-fit systems for the organisation.
3. Collaborate with stakeholders to create a robust architecture blueprint (current state ("as-is") and future state ("to-be")) that reflects the current and future technology landscape.
4. Provide strategic oversight for all technology choices, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and best practices.
5. Mentor and develop a growing team of professionals, including a Solution Architect, Business Analysts, and Process Engineers.
6. Engage with vendors and third-party suppliers to ensure successful implementation and integration of technology solutions.
What My Client is Looking For:
1. Strong as-is/to-be architectural blueprint experience.
2. Business change experience.
3. Experience in Digital Transformation, ideally including ERP (e.g., Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft or Salesforce CRM solutions, with knowledge of Azure technologies (not necessarily as a specialist).
4. A proven track record in leading architectural projects and delivering results in medium-sized (up to 1000 employees) businesses.
5. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
6. An innovative mindset, ready to tackle challenges and drive transformation through technology.
7. Experience in managing teams or a desire to grow into a leadership role.
8. Relevant certifications in architecture frameworks (such as TOGAF) and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) are highly desirable.
9. Experience in managing global processes, with a strong understanding of cultural and regional dynamics, particularly within Europe.
10. Experience with process re-engineering and the application of LEAN methodologies in a commercial setting is a strong advantage.
Why Work With My Client?
1. Be part of a transformative journey within a rapidly growing organization.
2. Work in a collaborative environment where your ideas are valued, and you can make a tangible impact.
3. Opportunity for professional growth as the IT team expands three-fold by 2025.
