Job Description
The Family Connections Team comprises of three registered services – fostering, adoption and continuing care. We have recently been evaluated as good or very good across key quality indicators for all three services. We are committed to continuing to develop our service with The Promise central to our work. We are seeking an enthusiastic Social Worker with experience working in children’s services to join our team. You will have experience undertaking complex assessments which inform support and intervention. Experience working in a fostering or adoption team will be advantageous, but not essential. In addition to the traditional role of Supervising Social Worker for carers, you will be afforded opportunities to develop creative approaches to delivering support to care giving families across each service. Participation is central to how the team has developed; the successful candidate will recognise the importance of relationships centrally within their practice. We are currently implementing Readiness for Practice and Readiness for Caring – a programme of training available to staff and caregivers based on BALTIC approaches (theories/approaches that are Brain based, Attachment Led, Trauma Informed, and Community centred). Within this role you will be training to a Trauma enhanced level.
