An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical and Facility Controls Engineer to join our Design team in Test Facilities Engineering within the Engineering, Test and Safety (ET&S) division in Derby.

Your needs are as unique as you are. Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home or another remote location. It’s a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement. As a minimum we’re all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week.
What you will be doing:
You will need to have the confidence and ability to work as part of a team and take the lead on technical projects. You will:
1. Design new process equipment and corresponding control systems.
2. Integrate new and existing equipment into the test facilities.
3. Ensure the design and validation provides equipment which works safely and reliably with the gas turbine under test.
4. Capture and analyse the requirements and prepare system specifications.
5. Design, monitoring and accepting the third party supplied systems.
6. Implementation and development of external and internal standards.

7. Qualified to degree level or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
8. Experience in requirements capture/analysis methods, such as Systems Engineering.
9. Knowledge of generating Functional Block diagram and/or ladder for process simulation and machine controllers.
10. Good understanding of sensors, effectors, and the application of signal conditioning in the overall system design.
11. Good knowledge of current products, technologies, and methods.
12. Experienced in Graphical User Interface and Human Machine Integration design.
