Job Summary An inclusive primary school in Lambeth is seeking an Assistant SENDCo to support the SENDCo in managing and enhancing the provision for students with special educational needs (SEN). This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with SEN experience to take on a leadership role within a supportive and vibrant school environment. Part-time, fixed-term position starting January Collaborate closely with the SENDCo to deliver outstanding SEN support An excellent opportunity for career progression Responsibilities and Duties Assist the SENDCo in managing and developing the school’s SEN provision. Support the creation, implementation, and monitoring of Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external agencies to provide tailored support for students with SEN. Lead or assist with training sessions and workshops for staff on SEN best practices and strategies. Evaluate the effectiveness of SEN interventions and recommend improvements where necessary. Foster an inclusive and positive learning environment that meets the needs of all students. Qualifications and Skills Proven experience working with children with special educational needs, ideally within an educational setting. A background in teaching or support roles, with a genuine passion for SEN education. Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling collaboration with a diverse range of stakeholders. A clear DBS check and the legal right to work in the UK.
