About the role As a Service Desk Team Leader you will be responsible for the management of Service Desk Analysts. This will require daily coordination of Service Desk teams including the management of leave/absence, acting as an escalation point and regular performance reviews to ensure engineers are always progressing and performing within their role. The ideal candidate will be someone who has the ability to inspire individuals via a very strong work ethic and a passion for your role, and is able to develop and maintain excellent working relationships, both internally and externally. Overall, our Service Desk Team Leaders are a vital part of our managed services team, they help to ensure that our customers are leveraging the benefits of their technology investment. What will you bring? Able to evidence excellent customer service skills. Possess a passion for IT and keen to progress. Experience of working within a managed service team following ITIL processes. Experience of performance managing teams to drive high performance. Demonstrable experience of productivity enhancements within a team. Managing teams to hit KPI/SLA targets. Knowledge of the ITIL Service Desk environment. Ability to motivate individuals to hit agreed targets. Logical approach to capacity management. The drive to continually progress leadership skills year on year. Self-driven to develop and progress as an individual and within the team. The ability to communicate effectively with customers. Excellent personal management skills relating to conduct, timekeeping, and delivery against commitments. Excellent interpersonal skills working in and contributing to small and large teams both client facing and internally. Assertive and authoritative in communicating with team members and clients.
