We have an exciting opportunity for an aspiring PROJECT MANAGER to join a successful, privately owned, BIRMINGHAM based construction business who specialise in Groundworks / Civils projects and Steel Frame builds both within and beyond the Greater Midlands area. You will be working Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm from the Birmingham office undertaking both day trips and overnight visits to site as required. Salary is completely dependent on experience and will be properly discussed at interview. As a PROJECT MANAGER within the team, you will be responsible for: Project Management of a small number of concurrent projects Delivering projects to specification, within budget & to timescale. Develop project plans, budgets & resource requirements Facilitating adherence to project & phase plans Undertaking site visits Site audits, health & safety & risk assessments Quality Assurance & adherence to specification & plans Ensuring sufficient trades, equipment & resources are available on site. Coordinating teams of employed & sub contracted trades. Offering hands on & technical advice to trades on site To secure the opportunity to become a PROJECT MANAGER with this business you should be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience: Construction project management in an industrial or commercial property context Steel frames, cladding, groundworks/civils, internal fit out works Appropriate CSCS card & SMSTS / SSSTS qualification Hands on construction trade experience. Working to project plans & budgets. Fully aware of health & safety requirements within construction. Holding a full UK driving license Willing and able to visit sites on a day trip, overnight or slightly extended basis as required This exciting PROJECT MANAGER opportunity will also suit an experienced Site Supervisor or Manager seeking to make the step into Project Management as well as a developing Project Manager coming from a “hands on” trade background.
