The Role Scope
Working alongside the MandM Own Brands buyers, you will be responsible for taking the garment from the initial concept through the development process to the final sample, ensuring the end product is fit for purpose, working across multi clothing products, categories and genders.
Role key responsibilities
* Working with the buying team to ensure the final garment is in line with their original vision.
* Analysing technical issues accurately and sending clear, concise and accurate comments to suppliers, and processing samples in a timely manner.
* Approve lab dips, prints, embroideries, trims, fabrics and workmanship.
* Ensure all fabrics, components and trims are compliant to the ordered quality and meet safety requirements.
* Ensuring compliance with fibre composition labelling regulations, product safety & legislation.
* Contributing to initiatives to reduce customer returns: analysing data & implementing solutions.
* Create size charts and fit approved garments.
* Create and approve tech packs working closely with suppliers.
* Liaise with warehouse QC/other buying departments offering technical advice and following through any issues until resolved.
About You
Skill/competency
* Previous experience in a garment tech role or a Fashion Graduate.
* Excellent colour analysis and attention for detail is essential.
* Thorough understanding of garment construction.
* Great communication skills.
* Able to work both independently and as part of a team, as the role requires.
* Ability to work across multi categories.
* Familiar with Google Workspace and Excel.
