On behalf of our client we are seeking a Legal Assistant or Paralegal to join their friendly, busy Business Services Department.
The successful candidate will be required to assist fee earners in the Business Services Department with the day to day running of commercial property and dispute resolution files from start to finish.
Previous experience is preferred.
The candidate must have the following essential skills for the role:
* Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
* A strong user knowledge of IT packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
* Be a team player focused on providing an exceptional service with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Organisation skills
* Strong interpersonal skills communicating with clients, counsel and courts
Tasks will include the following:
1. Pre and post completion work
2. File opening and closing
3. Liaising with clients and counsel
4. Preparing bundles
5. Reviewing Title Deeds
6. Submitting Land Registry applications and SDLT returns
7. Drafting/reviewing documents such as:
o Court documents
o Leases
o Deeds
o Contracts and Transfers
Remuneration is competitive and dependent upon experience.
