This high-profile regulatory organisation in Brighton, East Sussex, is seeking a Risk Analyst to join its Risk Management team. The job role is initially approved for 12 months on a fixed term basis, but there could be opportunities for a longer term permanent role as the needs of the Risk Management team evolves during 2025.
Your new role
The Enterprise Risk team is at the centre of maintaining our organisation's integrity and resilience. They play a key role in the second line of defence, ensuring that potential risks are identified and tackled head-on, following the risk management framework. By doing so, they help the executive team make well-informed decisions.
You'll support the Head of Risk & Assurance in developing and enhancing the Risk Management Framework (RMF) across the organisation. You'll be involved in key projects aimed at strengthening the risk culture and improving risk management practices. This includes working on initiatives that enhance risk oversight and reporting capabilities. You'll collaborate closely with various teams across the organisation, including Corporate Governance, Regulatory Assurance, and Internal Audit, to ensure a comprehensive approach to risk management.
What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrable experience of providing risk oversight and using risk management frameworks to develop organisational risk maturity.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders from across the organisation, including the ability to influence and challenge appropriately at senior levels.
- Ability to utilise tools (such as MS Office/PowerPoint/Excel) for data analysis and reporting with high attention to detail and accuracy, and a focus on delivering quality outputs.
- Demonstrable experience in mentoring and training colleagues, particularly in risk management practices.*
What you'll get in return
This role will be hybrid working on a full-time 35 hours / 5 days per week basis and a minimum requirement to work at least 6 days per month in the Brighton offices, with the rest of the time eligible for home-based remote working. Flexi-time will apply to your working week which means that you can build up extra hours to make use of the opportunity to take up to 2 flexi days per month in addition to your annual leave of 25 days, meaning that, inclusive of bank holidays, a total leave of 57 days per annum can be taken.
