We are recruiting for a Flight Operations Manager (FOM)– Delivery and Support to cover a 12-month fixed term contract. The FOM – Delivery and Support oversees non-technical projects and continuous improvement initiatives within Flight Operations, ensuring regulatory compliance and seamless execution. Reporting to the Head of Business Delivery, the role involves coordinating operational trials, managing working groups, and initiating new projects while engaging with regulatory bodies and stakeholders across the company.

As a leader, the Flight Operations Manager will drive efficiency, ensure high standards, and manage the Support and Delivery team while deputising for the Head of Business Delivery when required. This role is vital in enhancing operational effectiveness and continuous improvement.
What you need to do this role:
You will have a strong understanding of Flight Operations, including its requirements, dependencies, and priorities, allowing you to navigate complex operational challenges with confidence. A keen eye for detail and excellent problem-solving skills are essential, as you will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all aspects of project delivery. You should be highly proactive, organised, and resilient, able to maintain focus and momentum even in high-pressure situations.
Adaptability is key, as the role requires managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment where demands can shift quickly. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential, as you will regularly engage with stakeholders across different teams, ensuring alignment, clarity, and effective collaboration. Experience in managing roadmaps and budgets will be crucial in overseeing financial planning and project timelines. Additionally, familiarity with process automation tools such as Power Automate would be beneficial, helping to drive efficiency and continuous improvement within the department.

Location & Hours of Work:
This is a full-time 40 hour per week position, 12-month fixed term contract. We support hybrid working and we spend three days per week in the office in Luton.
