A laid-back atmosphere combined with easy-drinking sunshine beers & cocktails, relaxed tunes, and healthy eating gave rise to our tagline – Island eats and good times The Role An exciting opportunity has opened for an exceptional Marketing Manager to join Team Kona and play a pivotal role in the continued success of Kona Falmouth, with the aim of expanding this unique brand across the Southwest. As the Marketing Manager, you will work two days a week, focusing on developing and executing marketing strategies and tactics to drive sales, increase pre-bookings, and ultimately collaborate with the Board to validate the concept for future investment and growth. Reporting directly to business owner Pete and Commercial Director Amber, this role is ideal for a versatile marketer with a strong creative flair, digital marketing expertise, and a deep passion for the hospitality industry. Kona is a fun, dynamic business with tremendous potential. We need someone who can make the brand known, both in the local area and far beyond. For those candidates that can commit extra days, there may be the possibility of also working with our sister businesses: Harbour Lights in Falmouth and Frasers Fish and Chips in Penzance & Helston. The anticipated salary range is £35,000 to £38,000 for a 5 day week, with a reduced number of days paid pro-rata. Reporting into · Owner and CEO Pete Fraser · Commercial Director Amber Staynings What we’re looking for: · 5 years of previous experience within hospitality marketing B2C. · 5 years of previous experience within hospitality marketing B2C. Suitable on a freelance basis or part time employment. Can create and manage marketing calendars, campaigns and budgets. A great understanding of all social media platforms, and scheduling tools. Can create and manage marketing calendars, campaigns and budgets. Can deliver projects on time and to budget. Knowledge of Facebook Ads center and experience in running paid campaigns. Experience with CRM systems. Knowledge of marketing KPIs and a proven track record of hitting targets and running successful campaigns. An understanding of SEO and experience with Google Analytics and Google Search Console. Experience working with web agencies on creating or developing brand websites, a knowledge of Word Press is a plus. Tech savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience managing local press, influencers and getting coverage is preferred yet not essential. Impeccable copywriting & proof-reading skills. Creative flair and a passion for creating great content (experience with Photoshop, Adobe or Canva is preferred) Knowledge of email marketing and data segmentation. A great understanding of commercials. Experience creating materials and content to support campaigns, include coordinating photo and video shoots, brochures and event copy. A great eye for visuals is a must A genuine love of the of the hospitality industry. A passion for all things marketing & social media, with a keen interest in staying up to date with the changes and developments within digital marketing. Always full of ideas and innovation. Excellent time management skills and attention to detail. Self-starter with ability to work unsupervised. Strong work ethic with a ‘get stuck in’ mentality.
